Zambia and Caribbean Gateway Investment Group Mull Potential Partnership

In a high-level meeting at the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in Washington DC, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Chibamba F. Kanyama, has engaged in discussions with the Caribbean Gateway Investment Group and Excel Global Media Group Inc., led by Ambassador Tochil Nwaneri.
Renowned for its expertise in various fields, including Management, Project Financing, Business Consulting, and Real Estate Development, the Caribbean Gateway Investment Group expressed keen interest in exploring avenues for collaboration.
CEO of Caribbean Gateway Investment Group, Ambassador Nwaneri, emphasized the mutual benefits of such a partnership, stating, “We are eager to explore opportunities to channel investments into Zambia and support its socio-economic development agenda.”
“This meeting marks a significant step towards enhancing economic ties between Zambia, the United States, and Africa,” he added.
Delving into potential investment facilitation, critical areas such as energy and digital infrastructure, youth employment and empowerment schemes, education and skills training, and public health initiatives were discussed.
Moreover, discussions included the prospect of media partnership through Excel Global Media Group Inc. to amplify Zambia’s presence and showcase its activities on a global platform.
Expressing optimism about the media partnership, Publisher of Excel Magazine International, Mr. Boniface Ihiasota, said, “Through strategic media partnerships, we aim to raise awareness about Zambia’s investment opportunities and promote its unique offerings to a wider audience.”
In response, Chibamba F. Kanyama affirmed readiness for collaboration, stating, “We see immense potential in partnering with the Caribbean Gateway Investment Group to drive investment opportunities that align with the country’s development goals.”
Chibamba F. Kanyama, as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Zambia to the United States of America, embodies a distinguished fusion of business leadership and communication strategy.
With a career spanning roles at Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation, C K Media Agency, Zambia Institute of Mass Communication, Zambia State Insurance Corporation, Zambian Breweries, International Monetary Fund, and Bridges Limited, his expertise is widely recognized.
Appointed Ambassador-Designate to the United States of America in March 2023 by Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema, Kanyama has been a prominent business columnist for The Zambia Post since 2004. Additionally, he has served as UNICEF Ambassador for the ‘Brothers for Life Campaign’ and was appointed Climate Change Ambassador by the British Council.
Earlier, Counselor Economic, Mumbi Mulenga, expressed readiness and requested clarity on sectors of interest for future planning, requesting Amb. Tochil and his team’s visitation to the country.
