Why I’m Stingiest Man on Planet – Akon
Senegalese-American singer, Akon has opened up about his financial philosophy during a guest appearance on the Impulsive Podcast recently.
He proclaimed himself to be “the stingiest man on the planet” and shared his perspective on wealth preservation.
Akon emphasized that maintaining one’s wealth requires a certain level of frugality, stating, “If you want to stay rich, stay stingy.”
He went on to offer valuable advice to both colleagues and fans, cautioning against the ownership of private jets as a means to sustain wealth.
He explained, “Whatever you do, do not own a [private] jet. Bro, owning a jet is spending at least 2-3 million dollars a year just for upkeep [maintenance]. You spend more on the maintenance than the actual jet cost. This is the advice I give everybody. The money that you have now has to last you a lifetime. When you reason it that way, you are going to be very prudent.”
