What to Know About Davido’s ‘Timeless’ Album

Spotify, the popular global online streaming platform, has revealed the tracklist for Davido’s highly anticipated new album, “Timeless.”
The album, which is slated for release on March 31, boasts a total of 17 tracks, including the previously released “Champion Sound” featuring Amapiano ambassador, Focalistic.
Victor Okpala, Spotify’s Artiste and Labels Partnerships Manager for West Africa, described the album as a much-anticipated moment for one of African music’s greatest ambassadors of the digital era.
He expressed the streaming giant’s commitment to providing a platform for global audiences to connect with African content and supporting Davido as he achieves another milestone.
The album features a roll-call of established international and emerging local artistes, including UK Grime legend Skepta, dancehall king Dexta Daps, Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo, and Nigerian hitmaker Asake.
Davido also uses the album to shine the spotlight on emerging talent like Nigerian singers Logos Olori and Fave, the exciting Nigerian folk band The Cavemen, and digital content creator Morravey.
Spotify also unveiled an exclusive trailer to herald the release of Davido’s album, Timeless.
The trailer features the African superstar on the set of a TV interview, answering questions about his new body of work and describing it simply in one word, Timeless.
The streaming giant has also released the tracks through its social channels, and fans are in for an amazing musical experience if the calibre of artistes and Davido’s penchant for timeless collaborations are anything to go by.
These initiatives are part of Spotify’s support for the singer’s return to the public eyes and its long-running mission to support African music and its creators.
With the release of Timeless, Davido is set to reaffirm his decade-spanning reputation as a connector and key collaborator in Afrobeats and global music.
