Ugochi Uwahemo is a highly successful Nigerian raised in Maryland, USA. An Afrobeats dancer with a training background in hip hop, contemporary, modern, jazz and igbo traditional dancing. Ugochi has performed throughout the Maryland, DC, Virginia and New York. Her passion led to the establishment of Gucci Moves Choreography Dance Company.
Ugochi has been featured in various music videos. As a lover of Africa and African heritage, she has taught Afrobeats dance class in Maryland, DC, Virginia and New York. Her contributions have in no small measure ensured development of the continent acceptance globally.
A technology lover, Ugochi Uwahemo is pursuing her Master’s in Cyber security, a field much needed for societal difference and advancement.
With her love for successes, exploits, she also volunteered for the Youth Girl’s ministry at All Saints Igbo Anglican Church and working with the homeless in downtown DC, showing her love for humanity and her humanity. She is also the creator of Gucci Moves Styles which is an uprising fashion company that highlights the beauty of African Material. She is a strong believer in the African continent and ensures that she projects her beliefs hugely.
In 2003, she began dancing with Colors Dance Company. Her dexterity led to the formation of her own dance group and Afrobeats Dance group in 2011-2012. It was also an unprecedented achievement when she held a position as a collegiate dance captain for Pace University Dance Team in 2014-2016.
A widely acknowledged dancer she has performed throughout the Maryland, DC, Virginia and New York. Ugochi has been featured in various internationally recognized music videos. She has taught Afrobeats dance class in Maryland, DC, Virginia and New York. Ugochi continues to work on creative content and projects which can be found on You-tube at Gucci Moves Choreography.
