American Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFE), a pet project which was founded by the First Lady of Anambra State, Nigeria, Dr. Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano is an NGO with global spread which places premium on the uplifting of needy women and children.

EXCEL Global Media Group was at the cocktail party, organised by the NGO to create Cancer awareness amongst women in Houston, Texas, during this year’s breast cancer awareness month.

The event which was tagged Pink Ribbon Cocktail held on Saturday 26th of October, 2019 at The Virtuosity Banquet Hall 2, 9819 Bissonnet Street, Suite S, Houston Texas 77036.

October which has been earmarked by the World Health Organization (WHO) as “The Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is marked in countries across the world to increase attention and support for the awareness, early detection and treatment as well as palliative care of this disease”. This became an ample period for the group to take its zeal of creating an opportunity for increased enlightenment on breast cancer, the need for early detection and treatment as well as palliative measures to the women of Houston Texas.

Cancer has increasingly grown to became one of the world’s most pronounced and dangerous ailments with a devastating effect on an increasing number of women world over.

Researchers and medical experts have reached a consensus on the hope that comes with an early detection of the ailments thereby prompting USA CAFE to stress on the need for incessant self-examination amongst women.

The cocktail party also provided a conducive platform for women to freely interact with Breast Cancer experts to be fully abreast with the remedial measures available for the prevention and cure of breast cancer.

The event attracted an unprecedented number of women who graced the cocktail party to herald a new dawn for an initiative with the global recognition for the development and growth of women and children and the prevention of dangerous ailments such as breast cancer.

CAFE which has empowered well over 2,500 women since it’s inception in 2014 has occupied a considerable space which provides succour and empowerment to indigent women and widows.

The project has also been insulated from State Government funding and has provided a good platform for milking potentials to reality.
