US Election: 34-year-old Nigerian, Austin Chenge Joins Michigan Governor’s Race

A 34-year-old Nigerian, Austin Chenge joins the race for the governorship position in Michigan in the United States under the Republican Party challenging Lamar Smith.

A statement by the Head of Media and Public Relations unit, Nigerians in Diaspora, Abdul-Rahman Balogun identify Austin Chenge as a native of Benue State, a Law graduate from the University of Birmingham, England and have been serving the United State military as a specialist since 2018.

As a Distinguished Honour Graduate with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 99.8% and for exceptional performance while on duty, he is decorated with the Achievement Medal and locally popular for designing the popular tricycle, in 2016, known as “Wazobia Tricycle” which was designed to aid the lives of peasant farmers all over Africa.

The election is expected to hold in 2022.
