We Have Started Distributing Over 10bn Worth Of Palliatives, Buhari Tells UNGA

The president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari said on Tuesday that his administration has commenced the distribution of palliatives worth N10.9 billion to families and micro, small and medium enterprises in the country.
The president made this known while speaking on the first day of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly.
Buhari said that the distribution is part of the efforts of his administration to reduce the challenges faced by many Nigerians due to the COVID-19.
“In order to mitigate its impact on Nigerians, our administration has commenced the disbursement of the sum of N10.9 Billion to households and micro, small and medium enterprises as palliatives”, he said.
The president reassured the Assembly of Nigeria’s commitment to working with other member states of the UN. He reiterated that the partnership and collaboration with member states will help promote human health and general wellbeing.
Nigeria’s president further stated that the nation will partner with WHO and other nations to see ways of controlling the spread of corona virus.
Again, the number one citizen of Nigeria, maintained that the Nigerian government has setup a N500 billion fiscal stimulus package and sustained delivery of humanitarian and social interventions to poor and vulnerable homes; saying that the Central Bank has kicked-off a N3.5 trillion stimulus package to improve manufacturing and facilitate import substitution.
