There is apprehensive tension in Umuocha, Ubomiri in Mbaitolu, Local government Area, Imo state, after Soldiers allegedly stormed the area late in the night. Multiple eyewitnesses confirmed this to our reporter.
It would be recalled that hoodlums attacked a police station in the area and killed a Soldier in the process.
Multiple sources and eyewitnesses confirmed to EXCEL BREAKING NEWS that soldiers invaded the community at night and shot sporadically after the incident of earlier in the day.
“We cannot move out of the area because it is cordoned off, we are very scared and live in palpable fear as a result of the shootings” a resident told this magazine.
Another resident who spoke to EXCEL BREAKING NEWS said she cannot return home as the situation has become very tensed after the clash between hoodlums and the Nigerian Army personnel.
Yet to be verified number of persons was reportedly severely injured by the rampaging soldiers while many persons abandoned home already.
Entry and exit points of the area have been blocked as at the time of this report.
The Imo state government is yet to react to the incident.
