Britain will proscribe the sales of petrol and diesel vehicle from 2030.
This ban is part of the 10-point plan for a ‘’green industrial revolution’’ set to be unveiled by the U.K Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, on Wednesday.
The British premier has set aside 13.4 billion EUROS (about 15.9 billion dollars) for the wide-ranging initiative, which he is optimistic will create up to 25,000 jobs and help meet a target for the U.K to become carbon neutral by 2050.
The proposal also includes quadrupling offshore wind power within a decade while scaling up Hydrogen production capacity for industry, transport, power and homes.
‘’My 10-point plan will create, support and protect hundreds of thousands of green jobs, whilst making strides towards net zero by 2050’’ Boris Johnson said in a statement ahead of publishing the full blueprint.
