TRIBUTE TO AN ICON AND NATIONAL LEADER, SHEHU SHAGARI
Excel Global Media Group, Publishers of Excel Magazine International hereby wishes to join the world in the celebrating former Nigerian President and the only President of the Nigerian second republic, Shehu Shagari.
The late Shehu Shagari until his death was a man who took the development of Nigeria as a piority , he contributed to stability and peace of Nigeria till death.
It is in record that his humility as a President of Nigeria paved way for many positive developments and unique value.
Our focus in celebrating unique Africans brings us to the reminder that he,Shehu Shagari rejected an official residence even as a President of the Country.
He held various positions as a parliamentarian in the Federal House of Representatives representing Sokoto West in 1954, as a Parliamentarian Secretary 1958-1959, as a Federal Minister and Commissioner in different ministries and capacities between 1959 and 1975.
We believe strongly that his virtues will be sorely missed and the vacuum he left will be hard to fill.
We encourage other African leaders to follow the perfect example of humility as exhibited by the late Shagari and also continue to put the nation/continent first in their dealings.
