Tony Tetuila Eyes Collaboration with Burna Boy for ‘My Car’ Remix

Renowned Nigerian singer, Tony Tetuila, has hinted at a potential collaboration with Afrobeats sensation, Burna Boy, for the remix of his iconic hit track, “My Car.”

Originally released in 2001, “My Car” swiftly became a nationwide sensation, cementing Tetuila’s status as a music icon.

In an exclusive interview with Daddy Freeze, Tetuila expressed his eagerness to feature the Grammy-winning artist on the remix of his beloved track.

He lauded Burna Boy’s musical prowess, revealing his admiration for the artist and his penchant for listening to Burna Boy’s tracks while on the move.

“I want to work with that boy. I am working on the ‘My Car’ remix and I want Burna Boy. I love them. I love all these guys. Do you know what they have taken the music to? I love what that guy is doing. I listen to his songs always in my car,” Tetuila remarked in pidgin English.

Tetuila, formerly a member of The Remedies, shed light on the circumstances surrounding his departure from the group, refuting claims made by Eedris Abdulkareem in a recent podcast interview.

Contrary to Abdulkareem’s assertions regarding financial disagreements within the group, Tetuila asserted that he was ousted from the band due to the machinations of Abdulkareem and Eddy Remedy.

In a candid statement shared on his social media platform, Tetuila expressed gratitude to Daddy Showkey and Blackface for their unwavering support during the transition to his solo career. He recounted how their encouragement and guidance played a pivotal role in his journey as a solo artist.

“Eedris connived with Eddy and kicked me out of The Remedies despite the fact that it was my mum who brought the money that was used to sponsor the group in the beginning. I was so heartbroken and shattered,” Tetuila revealed, shedding light on the challenges he faced within the group.

Reflecting on his solo endeavors, Tetuila expressed profound appreciation for the mentorship provided by Blackface, emphasizing the significant influence the artist had on his songwriting abilities.
