The music icon has shattered records, setting a new African benchmark on the US iTunes Albums Chart with his recently released album, ‘Timeless.’
Davido’s exceptional artistry has proven once again to be a force to reckon with as his album topped the charts, becoming the first African album to achieve this impressive feat in the world’s largest music market.
The music charts and data company, Chart Data, confirmed the news via its official Twitter handle on Wednesday, stating that “#davido’s ‘Timeless’ becomes the first African album in history to reach #1 on US iTunes.”
But that’s not all; the multi-talented singer and songwriter has also broken another record with ‘Timeless’ as it garnered an impressive number of first-day streams on Audiomack, cementing his place as one of Africa’s most sought-after entertainers.
Davido’s new album, ‘Timeless,’ has taken the world by storm, as it currently sits at No. 1 on various music charts, including the Nigerian Top Albums Chart, the UK Top Albums Chart, and in 17 other countries on Apple Music.
This is a clear indication of the album’s widespread acceptance and the artist’s global appeal, further reinforcing Davido’s position as a true icon in the music industry.
