Three Nigerian Health Workers Who Lost Their Lives To Covid-19

With the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic that has led to loss of Lives, Nigeria has lost 3 Health Workers to the CoronaVirus.

They are namely;
Dr Emeka Ochugbo, Dr Aminu Yakubu and Dr otegbeye Oluwayemisi.

Dr Emeka Ochugbo

Emeka Chugbo was taken to Lagos University Teaching Hospital  with “severe symptoms” and died o according to the hospital.

The 60-year-old doctor also had a history of asthma, his friend Lawal Oyeneyin told local media.

The patient at Dr Chugbo’s clinic who had Covid-19, the respiratory disease caused by the virus, died earlier

Dr Aminu Yakubu

Aaged 60, he died at the Nigeria Air Force Reference Hospital in Daura.

The deceased owned a private hospital in Daura and had visited his Kogi, where he hailed from, and later travelled to Lagos.

Upon returning, Yakubu became ill and was admitted to the hospital, where he died.

Samples of the deceased’s were taken to the Nigeria Centre for Decease Control (NCDC) for diagnosis before his death, and he was confirmed positive for coronavirus.

Before his death, he was also diagnosed with hepatitis and hypertension.

Dr. Oluwayemisi Otegbeye

Nigeria lost a Physiotherapist, Oluwayemisi Otegbeye to Corona Virus.

She became the third Nigerian Health Worker to die from the Disease after Dr Aminu and Dr Emeka.
