Thousands of Users Suffer Twitter Outage
A significant number of Twitter users on Wednesday experienced difficulties accessing the social media platform.
The development of the outage were submitted to Downdetector, a website that monitors service interruptions.
Downdetector collects outage data from various sources, including user-submitted error reports.
According to reports, as at 11 am, 3,473 Twitter users had reported the outage on Downdetector.
The issue appeared to mainly affect the app, though some users also reported problems with the website.
The cause of the outage remains unclear.
However, it occurred shortly after Elon Musk’s recent round of layoffs, in which approximately 200 product managers, data scientists, and engineers responsible for site reliability were let go.
