Synagogue President Samantha Woll Found Dead with Multiple Stab Wounds
In a tragic incident, Samantha Woll, the president of the Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue board in Detroit, was found dead outside her home with multiple stab wounds on Saturday morning.
The discovery was made after officers responded to a call regarding an unresponsive person. Upon arrival, they followed a “trail of blood” that led them to Woll’s residence, where they found her lifeless body.
The Detroit Police Department has taken charge of the case and assigned it to the homicide unit for a thorough investigation.
Police Chief James White issued a statement emphasizing that the stabbing is under comprehensive investigation, and the motive remains unknown.
He urged the community to be patient as investigators meticulously examine all available evidence, cautioning against drawing conclusions prematurely. Additional information about the investigation is expected to be released on Sunday.
The FBI in Detroit is collaborating with local law enforcement, and the Michigan State Police is providing support.
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer expressed her condolences, describing Woll as a beacon in the community who worked tirelessly to improve Michigan.
