Strange Moment as Justice Lokulo-Sodipe Slumps, Dies in Office

A 67-year-old judge of the Court of Appeal in Akure, Ondo State, Justice Lokulo-Sodipe, has passed away after reportedly slumping in his office while dressing up for a court session.
Efforts to revive him, Excel Breaking News learnt were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. The news was confirmed by the immediate past Chairman of the Akure chapter of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr Rotimi Olorunfemi.
In response to the news, the current chairman of the Akure branch of the NBA, Mr Banji Ayenakin, expressed his shock and condolences to the judge’s family and the President of the Court of Appeal, Nigeria.
In a statement, Ayenakin described Justice Lokulo-Sodipe as a “quintessential judge, very intelligent and forthright,” and praised his commitment to the development of justice in Nigeria. The judge’s death has come as a loss to the legal community in Akure and beyond.
