Nollywood comic actor, Oriaku Longinus Aka Chief Imo, has spoken extensively on his career and what he plans to do apart from Nollywood.
In an Exclusive Interview with EXCEL MAGAZINE INTERNATIONAL , Chief Imo said his rise to fame changed everything about him including his lifestyle.
“Before I became the popular chief Imo, there were a lot of things I did, but as Chief Imo, a lot has changed about me. My financial life has changed, my lifestyle, the way people see me and even my comportment out there changed because i know many persons are looking at me” he said.
Speaking on how he came about the name Chief Imo, the lively Nollywood actor said the name happened in an unexpected way.
“I featured in a skit with Maggi and I called myself Chief Imo. people loved the name and the name Chief Imo overshadowed my real name, so I adopted it and did fine tune it to be my own name. That is how I started the stage name Chief Imo and it has been really fruitful throughout.”
Chief Imo advised young Actors to be unique and refuse to allow attempt to be someone else stop their rise
“When I started , I always wanted to be a unique character and not to be someone else, I did have those I loved but I did not really attempt to them. Young actors should try to stand out instead of trying to copy someone’s act, that is the way the world can recognize them” he said.
The popular actor also did not hide his love for God stating that he plans to become a minister of God in no time
“I intend to become a minister of God in no time from now, I want my words to touch people, not necessarily by the number of people that fall down when I speak or any miracle i perform but when i speak, people should be able to recognize me for who i am and be able to see God’s work in me and through me”.
