President Donald Trump has agreed to the commencing of a formal U. S transition for president-elect Joe Biden to take office.
The president stated that the federal Agency overseeing the handover ‘must do what needs to be done’ in view of the transition. However, the president hasn’t conceded defeat and has vowed to keep Contesting his election defeat.
This comes as Biden’s victory in the state of Michigan was officially confirmed, dealing a huge blow to Trump’s legal challenges in the state.
The GSA (General Services Administration) also confirmed it was recognizing Biden as the ‘apparent winner’. The GSA announcement means the president elect will now have access to top security briefings, Office space and government officials even as plans continue for takeover by January 20th 2021.
