The incident, according to reports, occurred at the entrance of his country home in Orodo, Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.
A credible source revealed to Excel Magazine International that Eze Ohiri, accompanied by his cousin, Solomon Ohiri, who had recently returned from the United States, fell victim to the abduction.
The two were returning from a shopping trip in Owerri when they were intercepted by heavily armed men in a Highlander vehicle.
The source disclosed, “Yes, I can confirm that the report is true. Eze Ohiri and his cousin Solomon, who just came back from America, were attacked by gunmen. They were returning from shopping in Owerri when the assailants waylaid them at the entrance of the palace.”
Describing the harrowing incident, the source added, “The gunmen, driving a Highlander vehicle, brandished their weapons, instructing both victims to exit the vehicle. Subsequently, they were abducted and taken to an undisclosed location.”
Efforts to reach the State Police spokesperson, Henry Okoye, proved unsuccessful as he hasn’t reacted to the text messages sent to his known number at the press time.
