Police Rescues Girl Locked Up By Parents For Ten Years

A teenager who has been locked up for about 10 years in a room has been rescued by the Police operative attached to Kano State Police Command.

ExcelNews gathered that the 15 years old victim, Aisha Jibrin, was locked up by her biological parents in Darerawa Quarters, Fagge local government area of Kano State.

When rescued, the child looked so dirty, hungry, bonny and couldn’t stand up on her own. The child it was learnt wasn’t properly fed and given treatment when ill by her parents.

The Police said that they rushed the victim to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital in Kano where she was admitted for immediate treatment.

Reacting to the development, the Police Public Relation Officer of Kano State Police Command, Abdullahi Haruna said that the girl’smother, Rabi Mohd has been arrested.

“Efforts are ongoing to apprehended Mohd Jibrin, the father of the victim as we speak, ” the PPRO said.

He added that the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Kano State Police command has launched a discrete investigation into the incident.
