Police Killed 29 Year Old Man In Osogbo

On Wednesday, not yet identified police officer (s) allegedly shot and killed a fashion designer, Quadri Nurudeen, at Jaleyemi Area of Osogbo.

It was reported that police officers stormed the house of the victim, on Wednesday evening, and was shot.

The deceased cousin , Islamiyah Omowumi, claimed some men of the Anti-Cultism Unit of the Osun State Police Command, stormed the house while covering their faces, along with a in handcuffs.

She illustrated that the victim was taken to a hospital by the police men, after several attempts by family members to locate him, but unfortunately he was found dead at the hospital.

“we searched everywhere for him when the day broke until we decided to check the morgue of UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, where we found him lying dead. We were told some policemen brought him and left a phone number.”

The State’s PPRO, SP Yemisi Opalola, said the deceased was suspected of involving in crime and the Police went to his house to effect his arrest for proper investigation to be conducted, when he attempted to escape.

“He jumped and hit his chest on the ground. Police did not shoot him but investigation is still ongoing to get more facts about the matter.” The police PRO explained.
