Presidential candidate of African Action Congress in the 2019 presidential election and convener of #RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore, has been arrested by security operatives at the premises of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Sowore was at the court premises to attend the hearing of the trial of five youths arrested for wearing #BuhariMustGo branded shirts at Dunamis Church.
ExcelBreakingNews gathered that Sowore, alongside his aide, who was doing a live-stream of events in front of the court, was arrested by police officers.
He said in a message sent to media houses, ”I have just been arrested by the Nigerian Police at the Federal High Court. Subjected to beatings by police officers and taken to the Federal Secretariat Police Station.”
The Federal High Court is also where the trial of the leader of the Independent People’s of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, is expected to resume today.
