Patience, Hardwork Sure Ways to Stardom Not Cultism – Phyno Tells Young Artists
Renowned rapper, Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, professionally known as Phyno, has shared insights into his early struggles as an artist and the pressure he faced to take shortcuts to fame and success.
In a candid conversation aimed at mentoring aspiring artists, Phyno emphasized the importance of hard work, determination, and resilience as the fundamental elements of his own journey to success.
He firmly rejected any notions of engaging in cults or rituals for quick fame, underlining his commitment to staying true to his principles.
Addressing emerging talents, Phyno urged them to exercise caution when considering record label deals.
He advised them to thoroughly review and understand the terms and conditions of any contract before committing, rather than rushing into agreements out of desperation.
Phyno reflected on his own path, stating, “Some people look at us today and think we got it easy, Not at all.
“I’ve never loved easy things. Before many people heard of Phyno, I’d had songs that no one knew existed.
“A couple of friends told me to blow, I must join a cult or sacrifice something or someone, I told them the price is too much. I’ll never do such.
“I believed in myself and the power of hard work, I started little and today I thank God.”
Continuing his guidance, Phyno encouraged young artists to embrace patience and hard work, cautioning against the pitfalls of desperation.
He stressed that the pursuit of a record deal should not override one’s self-worth, as desperate artists are more likely to be taken advantage of.
He emphasized, “Nothing rewards more than diligence and consistency. Keep working, and when the time is right, you’ll shine.”
