A graduate of the management and Accounting department, Oyeshola Segun Emmanuel has won President Muhammadu Buhari’s National Youth Service Corp honors Award.
Segun who hails from Oyo state finished from the Management and Accounting department of the leading University.
He was one of the Oyo state indigenes who were honored by the President.
Segun served in Maiduguri, Borno state.
Speaking to our correspondent, he noted that his zeal to ensure that people are empowered motivated his desire to make a change.
He carried out projects such as medical outreach, planting trees to fight against climate change, free skill acquisition among others.
“I just believed strongly that I can make people smile and impact many during the service year, it was one thing I aspired to do and looked forward to ensuring that as many persons as possible and communities are reached” he noted.
Segun expressed his gratitude to the Nigerian government for finding him worthy of winning the award stating that this has motivated him to do more for the society.
He noted that he would not rest in ensuring an impactful society.
Commending him at a courtesy call, the Chief Executive Officer of the Image Merchant Promotions Limited , Yushau Shuaib, who won the Presidential award in 1993, encouraged him to continue to impact the society and see service as a virtue.
The NYSC Presidential honors award is dedicated to celebrating young minds who have distinguished themselves during the compulsory one year service
