Edo 2020: Oshiomhole Berates INEC Over Faulty Card Readers
By Ikechukwu Onyekwere
The former governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomole has complained bitterly about the faulty machines on election venues from INEC.
Oshiomole expressed his disappointment after casting his vote at Unit 1, ward 10 in Uzairue Northeast, Etsako West Local Government Area. He commended the people for their large turnout. While expressing his resentment, the former APC national Chairman reiterated that the faulty machine will affect the number of persons willing to cast their votes. He pointed out that the machines would have been tested before the election.
Speaking further, the APC scribe noted that it will be bad if someone comes to vote but could not due to error from INEC. Oshiomole encouraged the electorate in his unit to be patient and exercise their voting right.
Edo state electorates are electing their new governor with a winner expected to be announced on Sunday, September 20, 2020.
The election is a keen contest between incumbent Godwin Obaseki of the People’s Democratic Party and Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress.
