Ooni of Ife, Brazil Partner on Africa Fashion Week

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has partnered with the Brazilian government through its embassy in Nigeria to launch the Africa Fashion Week Initiative.
The primary objective of this collaboration is to strengthen economic and cultural ties between the African continent and the South American country.
The Brazilian Embassy in Lagos played host to the announcement of the African Fashion Week Brazil, where the Consulate General of Brazil in Lagos, H.E. Ministro André Veras Guimarães, and Queen Ronke Ademiluyi Ogunwusi, the Ooni’s wife and founder of the African Fashion Week London and Nigeria, addressed the media at a press conference.
The Expo Centre in São Paulo, the largest city in Brazil, will host the Brazilian edition of the Africa Fashion Week, which is scheduled to take place from May 25 to 27, 2023.
This fashion event promises to be an exceptional avenue to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Africa and South America while promoting creativity, innovation, and commerce.
The Africa Fashion Week Brazil is expected to attract a global audience, including top fashion designers, industry experts, celebrities, and government officials, who will converge to celebrate the fusion of African and Brazilian fashion, art, music, and cuisine.
