Ahead of his coronation as the 21st Olu of Warri, Prince Tsola Emiko, has released some thrilling pre-coronation pictures.
Excel Magazine International reports that Prince Emiko is slated to be officially coronated on August 21, 2021, at Ode-Itsekiri, in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
Prince Emiko will succeed Ogiame Ikenwoli, who joined his ancestors in December 2020.
Recall that Emiko’s emergence as Olu of Warri designate has been enmeshed in controversy among power brokers in Itsekiri nation, and currently, there are two cases pending before the Warri High Court, seeking to nullify his selection as Olu in-waiting.
One of the cases is filed by billionaire politician and Ologbotsere of Warri, Chief Ayiri Emami, while another was filed for the nullification of the process leading to Emiko’s selection as Olu designate by a member of the Itsekiri royal family, before the same Warri High Court.
