Nollywood Actress Toyin Abraham Decleares She Might Vote For Tinubu

Toyin Abraham, a Nigerian actress and film producer, talked about the upcoming presidential elections on Friday.

The 40 year old actress pleaded with her colleagues not to impose their political preferences on others while addressing on TVC’s breakfast program, “your view.”

She also justified her preference for Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC presidential )’s nominee.

“I love Asiwaju; I might vote for him because I love him; I have not decided; I am just saying it, and also because of the things he has done for my industry. But I will not use my selfish interest to lead others.”

“He has been a wonderful man to my industry; even when we had nothing, he has been there for people. But I won’t force others. I want to use this medium to beg everybody to stop, let everyone choose whomever they want.”

She made it clear that she wasn’t endorsing anyone in her remarks about the Lagos governorship election, not even her fellow candidate.

In the People Democratic Party’s primary for deputy governor, her fellow actress Funke Akindele is running.

“I am not going to campaign for anybody; I might wake up and say tomorrow, I want to campaign, but for now, I am not going to campaign; I want everybody to make their decision so that when the trouble comes, you will not say”

“I know I have influence; we are all women at this table; I will not let you use the gender card on me. I would support someone who supports other women and someone competent, knowing that yes can handle people, crowds and things.”

“I am a mother, and I have children; I am not going to jeopardise our children or the future of this country because of gender or a colleague.”
