No US Citizen Was Involved in Anambra Attack – White House

The White House has confirmed that no US citizens were involved in the attack on United States Embassy officials in Anambra State, Nigeria, on Tuesday.
Reports indicate that four staff members from the US Embassy were killed in an ambush in the Amiyi/Eke Ochuche communities of Ogbaru Local Government Area.
The national security council spokesperson, John Kirby, stated during a press briefing that although a US convoy vehicle was attacked, no US citizens were harmed.
Kirby mentioned the existence of casualties and potential fatalities, but emphasized that further investigation is being carried on.
The Anambra State Police Command spokesperson, Ikenga Tochukwu, disclosed that the convoy carrying US consulate staff members was targeted, resulting in the deaths of two police officers and two consulate staff.
The attackers reportedly set fire to the victims’ bodies.
