Nnamdi Kanu’s Lawyer Alleges Assassination Plot
Ifeanyi Ejiofor, a prominent legal representative for Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has raised alarm over an alleged plot to assassinate him.
According to Ejiofor, a “kinsman” identified as the “chief plotter” has purportedly contracted assassins and provided them with weapons for the sinister mission.
In a statement shared on social media platform X, Ejiofor disclosed that the planned assassination is scheduled to take place on Thursday within the Southeast region.
The post, titled “Plots to assassinate me leaked,” detailed the orchestrated scheme, stating, “The plans have been hatched and sealed, awaiting execution. They were paid to execute this evil plot during my visit in and around the East.”
Ejiofor called upon relevant security agencies, the Anambra State Government, and the Federal Government to be vigilant and take preventive measures.
He emphasized his innocence in provoking such a threat, declaring, “I have not offended anybody to deserve being killed in the manner in which their evil plots disclosed.”
Expressing concern for the safety of himself, his family, and associates, Ejiofor urged the seriousness of the threat, cautioning, “Biafrans, my life, that of my family and workers are no more safe in the hands of these marauders.”
He concluded by invoking divine intervention, stating, “But the God Almighty shall bring their evil plots to naught,” and emphasized the urgency of addressing the threat, stating, “This threat must be taken seriously and should not be treated with a wave of hands.”
