Emeritus Professor and distinguished Poet, John Pepper Clark has died in the early hours of Tuesday, October 13, 2020.
This announcement came in a statement issued by the family and signed by Prof. C.C Clark and Ilaye Clark.
“The Clark-Fuludu Bakederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, wishes to announce that Emeritus Professor of Literature and Renowned Writer, Prof. John Pepper Clark, has finally dropped his pen in the early hours of today, Tuesday, 13th October, 2020”, the statement read.
The Emeritus Professor died in the comfort of his wife, children and siblings around him.
He was born on April 6, 1935 and was one of Nigeria’s great foremost Poets and Writers.
