NGE To Hold 40th AGM In Kano

The Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE), is to hold its 40th Annual General Meeting and elections, in Kano, starting from April 26, to April 29, 2021,  the NGE president, Comrade Mustaph Isa has said.
Briefing newsmen at the NUJ press Centre, on Saturday on preparations for the elections, Comrade, Isa, justified Kano as venue for the election, primarily, due to the existing critical infrastructure in the State, such as the airport, as well as the peaceful atmosphere of the commercial city.
”Members will comfortably arrive the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA)  by air from different locations in the country to attend the meeting.” Kano has a serene atmosphere to host a successful NGE meeting and elections.”
According to him, members of the Kano/Jigawa axis of the NGE have resolved to support the candidature of Isa for continuity, adding that his leadership has stabilized the guild, since he mounted the saddle of leadership.
While responding on the challenges of sponsorship, he disclosed that the Giuld is expecting, not less than 250 members, adding that they will however expect some measure of sponsorship from the state Government.

He disclosed that members will start arriving the ancient city of Kano, on April 26, adding that members will embark on inspection of projects, executed by the current administration.
He disclosed that those elected will steer the affairs of the guild for the next two years.
