The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) have expressed concern over what it’s described as unwanted attacks on the just constituted leadership of the National Association of Kano State Students (NAKSS) by some persons under the State Government.

The Deputy Coordinator of the Association, Comrade Ziya’u Sarki expressed his concerns today in a Press Briefing organised by the Association at Nigerian Union of Journalist Secretariat in the State, laments that the association is being attacked for selfish reasons.

Comrade Sarki further insisted the Association regognized Comrade Yahaya Usman Kabo as it’s legitimate President of the Association in Kano having fulfilled all constitional requirement and voted by the majority of Kano Students last year, adding that NANS leadership comes only from the Students.

Comrade Sarki however disassociate NANS from any move to destabilize Kano Students Movement, just as he called on security Agencies to intervain in order to save the State student movement as an independent Organization that is agitating for peace and progress of Nigeria.
