Mr Eazi Makes History as First Nigerian Musician to Win Latin Grammy

In a historic achievement, Nigerian singer and record executive, Mr Eazi has become the first-ever Nigerian musician to clinch a Latin Grammy.
The acclaimed artist, whose real name is Oluwatosin Ajibade, has been nominated in four categories at the 21st edition of the annual Latin Grammy awards for his stellar contribution to the albums of Bad Bunny and J Balvin.
Mr Eazi’s notable collaboration with J Balvin on the song, Arcoíris off ‘Colores’ has bagged him the ‘Best Urban’ album category, while his contribution to the J Balvin x Bad Bunny album, Oasis, has also won him the same category.
It’s no surprise that the singer’s contributions to both ‘Oasis’ and ‘Colores’ have been widely acclaimed for their genre-bending sound and innovative approach to Latin music.
In particular, the featured tracks, ‘Acoiris‘ and ‘COMO UN BEBÉ,’ have racked up an impressive 198 million and 54 million streams, respectively, on Spotify, further bolstering Mr Eazi’s global appeal.
