More than 40 million People Recover from Covid-19 Globally

40 Million Recoveries have been recorded as of Monday morning by worldmeter.info, a coronavirus tracking platform.

This shows level of success recorded in the fight against the virus.
People who recover from viral infections always develop immunity against the same disease, but it still remains unclear if this situation is applicable in Covid-19 infection.

The World Health Organization had earlier mentioned that one time infection of the virus has not yet been proven to result in immunity.

Since its outbreak in Wuhan China, the United States has been the worst hit by the pandemic. Last Sunday, the country reported its 10 millionth case, just few days after hitting 9 million. More than 262,000 Americans have died from the infection while 12.5 million Americans have been infected.

The United States recoveries from the virus have not improved compared to other nations.

Of the two million persons infected by Covid-19 in Africa, about 1.7 million have recovered, according to data from African Centre for Disease Control (ACDC).
