It was a convergence of la crème da crème of the society when Hon Sir Godfrey Uwakwe Onwumere who is the father of popular event compere and comedian, MC Bossman, was laid to rest.
The event which had present top personalities cut across different sectors, held at St Matthew’s Anglican Church, Ihitte.
Dignitaries who attended the event lauded the life well spent by Honorable Godfrey who was described as a man of the people and a man with great legacies which would continue to live on.
Some of the personalities at the event included;
Honorable Deacon Chike Okafor, Bishop of Mbaise , Anglican Diocese (Rt Reverend Chamberlain Ogunedo) , Pastor Ralph Afoaku who represented Senator Rochas Okorocha , Evangelist Tonniel Avo, FOGMMON Imo state Chapter, Chief of Staff to the Rivers State governor, Eva Bezze Nwosu (Public Relations Officer, Federal Polytechnic Nekede) who represented the Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Reverend Austen Nnadi among many other top personalities.
The Imo cycling club (ICC) were also at the event with their powerful presence and footmen rattling the guests with ground breaking stunts.
This was made possible through their bicycles.
The Cycling club also led the motorcade from mortuary to the home and to church.
Speaking on the event, the Chief Executive Officer of Excel Global Media Group, Ihiasota Boniface,lauded the life well spent by Hon Godfrey, according to him , MC Bossman is a perfect example of the blessing Hon Godfrey gave humanity.
He also stated that living a good life cannot be negotiated and thus EXCEL GLOBAL MEDIA GROUP celebrates Hon. Godfrey.
