Charles Chibogwu and Nonso Ugoejiofor
A Nigerian, Charles Chibogwu, has being receiving encomiums all over social media after returning a missing wallet with a huge amount of money in it without collecting any reward.
In a corrupt society, where it is not norm for people to return missing items, most especially when it had to do with money, Charles proved otherwise that there are still good and well-meaning people in society.
The owner off the wallet and Facebook user known as Nonso Ugoejiofor, shared the story on his timeline on Sunday, November 22. According to him, he misplaced his wallet after boarding a public car to go home from work.
He disclosed that Charles Chibogwu picked up the wallet, traced him on face book with a neighbour’s Facebook account. Nonso said he called the number and Charles directed him to where he would meet him to pick up the wallet.
However, after reclaiming the wallet with everything intact, he offered Charles a 10,000 Naira reward but he ‘refused’ insisting that he did it for humanity and not for any reward.
The owner of the wallet, Nonso Ugoejiofor, stated that after this encounter, he still had hope for Nigeria. Whilst also expressing delight that there were still well-meaning and good citizens in the society.
