The governor of Nigeria’s commercial capital, Lagos, Jide Sanwoolu, has joined the ongoing EndSARS protest in the state, this came after protesters at the Alausa , Ikeja , demanded that the governor addresses them.
The governor acceding to the demands of the protesters, walked with them and addressed the protesters promising to ensure change in Lagos state, he also announced that the state has set up a 200million naira fund to compensate those who have been brutalized by the personnel of SARS.
In another related development, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo state, Seun Fakorede, also led the EndSARS protest , according to him Youths do not deserve to be killed and deserve security .
He noted that he decided to join the protest so as to ensure a peaceful protest.
Nigerian youths have been protesting against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad demanding that the brutality, extortion among illegalities suffered in the hands of the squad be investigated.
