Kanayo Introduces Son to Film Industry, Warns Against Favoritism
Veteran Nollywood actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo has made headlines as he introduced his first son, Clinton Mbaise, to the film industry.
In a video shared on his Instagram page recently and obtained by Excel Magazine International, Kanayo announced that Clinton would be joining his production company, Simpliciter Associates Productions, in the capacity of assistant production manager and personal assistant.
Emphasizing professionalism, Kanayo said Clinton should be treated like any other crew member and not receive special treatment due to his familial ties.
He sternly warned against any favoritism, stating, “This is Clinton Onyeze Mbaise, my first son. And he is joining us today as assistant production manager and as my personal assistant.
“Do not treat him like my son. It is a warning I am giving to everybody. He is here to work. He is going to earn a fee like every other person. Do not begin to say na K.O.K son. I no dey for that kind thing. Treat him as a member of the production crew.”
Clinton, a recent graduate of Babcock University with a degree in Information and Communication Technology, is set to undergo training under the production manager to gain hands-on experience in the industry.
Kanayo urged his colleagues to afford Clinton the same respect given to other team members, maintaining his desire for his son to develop a strong work ethic and professionalism.
He concluded with a plea to refrain from indulging his son, ensuring that he adheres to the same standards as everyone else.
