Soon after the ceasefire, fighting broke out at the al-Asqa mosque compound. However, Isreal has temporarily opened a crossing into Gaza, allowing food, fuel and medicine into the territory.

China will also provide humanitarian assistance to Gaza to help recovery while sending assistance to treat the injured and helping find accommodation for those left homeless.

Palestine foreign minister Shah mehmood Qureshi welcomed the ceasefire, describing it as “the power of collective, unified action”.
United States of America Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken is planning to travel to Middle East following the Ceasefire between Isreal and Hamas.
Hamas has however claimed victory in the crisis describing the situation as euphoria of victory.

The United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres has also called for serious efforts to address underlying causes of the conflict between Israel and Palestinians.
