Iran Vows to take Revenge on Israel Following Death of Nuclear Scientist

 

Iran has vowed to take revenge on Israel after blaming Israel for the attack that killed an Iranian Nuclear scientist.

Following a state funeral held on Monday for the slain scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, who was assassinated by gunmen on Friday, Iran has stated that it will retaliate for its fallen hero. Iran blames the attack by the unknown gunmen on Israel.

Iran said it considered the scientist ‘a martyr’, while stating it will double efforts to continue its nuclear programme.

The scientist died after armed assailants targeted his car and engaged in a gunfight with his bodyguards, according to the Iranian Defence Ministry.

The Iranian president, Hassan Rouhani, accused ISRAEL of acting as an American ‘mercenary’ in the region, and blamed the country for the attacks.

Rouhani also emphasized that Iran will seek its revenge for the assassination in ‘due time’ and not be rushed into a trap.
