In Ekiti, Peter Obi Pledges To Demolish The Political Institutions To Blame For Nigeria’s Problems
Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, has committed to put an end to the actions of unfavorable political systems that enslave Nigerians to hunger and poverty.
The former governor of Anambra State further claimed that if Nigerians supported him in the upcoming presidential election on February 25, they will experience a new lease of life.
During the massive Labour Party event held at the Ekiti Parapo pavilion on Thursday in Ado Ekiti, the capital of the Ekiti State, he provided the assurances.
When Obi campaigned for the votes of the people in the State, he promised a huge number of employment for the throngs of young people who are unemployed across the nation.
The LP presidential candidate remarked that the Labour Party had good intentions for Nigeria and promised that his administration will combat insecurity, corruption, and end hunger in the country.
Obi said, “I want to assure you that if you vote for me as the next President of Nigeria, I will unite and secure this country.
“I will end hunger, poverty and provide good jobs for numerous unemployed graduates in Nigeria.
“My administration will turn this country from consuming to producing nation and bring the dividends of good governance to the people.
“I will not only stop corruption, I will eradicate poverty in every States of the federation because our youths will be properly taken care of and they will no longer be travelling out of the country for greener pastures.
“Ekiti Kete please vote for Labour Party in the forthcoming presidential election.”
Barr. Julius Abure, the party’s national chairman, thanked party members, friends, and admirers for turning up in such huge numbers to show their support for the party and its presidential candidate earlier in his presentation.
In his appeal to voters to support Obi in the upcoming presidential election, Abure praised the LP candidate as a trustworthy, determined, and dedicated individual who was prepared to battle for the survival of young people and Nigerians as a whole.
In a separate speech, the party’s state chairman, Barr. Odunayo Okunade, cautioned party members against selling their votes to candidates or political parties that are fighting tooth and nail to win the election.
