Igboho, Afenifere, OPC To Lead Campaign Against Cow Beef

Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho; the Afenifere, the Are Ona Kankanfo, Gani Adams; and the Odua Peoples Congress (OPC) are set to launch a campaign against cows.
The Punch reports that this is made known in an advertorial published in the newspaper on Monday, March 1.

It was gathered that the campaign which is tagged, ‘Anything But Cow Day’, would be launched on Friday, March 5, and is being held in response to the boycott of the south by northern traders, adding that the boycott has entered its fifth day.

Ahmed Alaramma, the general secretary of AUFCDN, said the president of the association, Mohammed Tahir, was with the DSS, adding that some military personnel were intimidating members and a task force of the union.

The blockade, which has entered its fourth day, was done in protest against the alleged killing of their members in the south.

They had also called on the federal government to pay them billions in compensation.
