I Fled Day Female Producer Demanded Sex for Movie Role –Maicon Emeka
Actor cum movie producer, Maicon Emeka, has bemoaned some of the challenges he had encountered at the initial stage of his career.
In an interview with Saturday Sun, the dark-skinned thespian revealed how a female producer demanded sex from him in exchange for a movie role.
“A female producer told me to come and sleep with her so she can give me a role in a movie. That was when I was still coming up. But I didn’t do that because I got information from some people that, that’s what she always does with men and most men she sleeps with do not end up well in the industry. So, I fled.”
Fondly called ‘Abia State First Son’, Maicon Emeka started his entertainment career from music before dabbling into movies; a proof that he is made for showbiz.
The lead actor of Ijele also talked about the movie that announced him in the industry. “The name of my character in that movie is Ijele. It’s an epic movie that featured Zubby Michael and other actors. I was given a role, for like 20 scenes. But the moment I came to the production set, they said I’d play the lead character, just like that,” he recalled.
On his current project, Emeka stated: “I just finished producing my movie, Blood Genotype, where Jerry Williams and I played twins. Right now, I’m planning on producing more movies and creating more contents for my fans.”
