House of reps majority leader Doguwa remanded in prison
The senior Magistrate, Ibrahim Mansur Yola at the Kano Magistrate Court on Wednesday remanded House of reps Majority leader, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, on Wednesday on five counts charge of conspiracy, mischief by fire, invoking grievous hurt, culpable homicide and instigating public disturbance.
Doguwa has been remanded in prison after he was reportedly arrested By Kano State Police Command, while boarding a flight to Abija at the Aminu Kano International Airport, on the charge which are related to the presidential and National Assembly elections, held last Saturday.
After the arraignment of Doguwa and other defendants, the state prosecutor in a statement with journalist, said the case needs further studying before any legal advice could be given on the next adjournment hearing.
Upon outlining the crimes committed by the House of reps majority leader, the counsel to the victims of the crime at Tudun Wada Federal Constituency pray for justice to be properly served.
The court adjourned the case till March 7 for hearing of the bail application
