The General Manager of ADAPALM (Nig) LTD, Hon. Goddy Esom Obodo has said that ADAPALM was established to boost agriculture in Imo State and Nigeria at Large.
Hon. Obodo said this in an interactive session with EXCEL Magazine International at His office over the weekend.
He further explained that the company is there to solve issues of unemployment and to create revenue for the state.
He said that corruption which clouded the minds of those managing the place over the years led to the dilapidation of the industry.
The General Manager maintained that there is hope for the Company as the present administration of Sen. Hope Uzodinma is working greatly towards revitalizing the industry.
“Presently, the Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma felt that this place must be recovered, reconstructed and Rehabilitated. That is why he appointed me to come and contribute my quota and see how this place can be saved”,, Hon. Obodo explained.
He reiterated that the mill was not functioning before he took over but now it is working efficiently. The administrative structure that was not taking place in the past is back once again as members of staff report to work earlier and always.
The ADAPALM Boss stated that this industry if fully recovered will help the state government on revenue.
Speaking, the Senior Special Assistant to Imo State governor on ADAPALM Matters, Valentine Akubudike said that bringing ADAPALM back is a good dream for everyone and appreciates Senator Hope Uzodinma for taking the bold step in ensuring the industry comes back in full capacity.
