29th December 2019 is a date that will forever remain fresh in the sands of Mbaise, a day the matrimonial journey of Okenze Evans Chukwu and Lolo Fidelia Onyeoziri was crowned with 50 years of companionship.
The town was shaken to its roots as dignitaries including friends, family members and well-wishers thronged the St. Anthony and Patrick’s Catholic Church, Ibeku Okwuato Aboh in Mbaise local government area of Imo state, to join in the very auspicious celebration of a 50 years undying and ever-growing love.
To the couple, it was like a new beginning. Their’s has been a long period of understanding and endurance, a long moment of affection and love. They have grown into one with tolerance and love. It was really a moment to behold. The yet to be married young men and ladies at the event were seen praying to tap into the love that existed between the couple, to other married persons at the event, it was a moment of reflection and redefinition as everybody wants a dose of the elixir that has kept the love from dying or declining.
The occasion was laced with the presence of men that matters in the society, from the realm of politics to business, clergy, traditional institutions and the entertainment industry. It was a convergence of the best as every field of endeavour struggled to have a worthy representation.
