Former Senegalese Player, Papa Douba Diop, dies

 

Former Senegalese International footballer, Papa Dioba Diop has died at the age of 42.

According to reports, Diop, who won the English FA cup during his time at Portsmouth in 2007, had been suffering from illness.

Tributes have been pouring in since then. a dynamic player who was nicknamed ‘’the wardrobe’’ during his playing days and surely thrilled people with his style of play.

In a statement posted on Twitter, FIFA said, ‘’FIFA is saddened to learn of the passing of Senegal legend Papa Douba Diop. Once a world cup hero, always a world cup hero’’.
