First Man To Climb Mount Everest 10 Times Is Dead

The first man to climb Mount Everest 10 times, Aug Rita Sherpa died in his home in Nepal on Monday after a lengthy illness, aged 72.
The grand son to Sherpa, Phurba Tshering explained that the 72-year-old suffered liver and brain ailments for a lengthy period before his death.
Ang Rita Sherpa was known as “Snow Leopard” due to his climbing skills.
A former president of the Nepal Mountaineering Asscociation, Ang Tshering Sherpa described him as a climbing star, stating that his death is a major loss for the climbing fraternity and the country at large.
In accordance to Sherpa tradition, the body will be placed at a Sherpa Gonna in Kathmandu and cremated on Wednesday, explained Ang Tshering.
Other members of the Nepal Mountaineering Asscociation further extended their sympathy to the family.
