Eulogy, Celebration As Edna Nzekwe Is Laid To Rest

 

It was a colorful event as the family of Nzekwe laid late Mrs Edna Nzekwe to rest in Obizi, Imo state.

In a widely attended event which started with a burial service at the St Andrews Pro-Cathederal Church, Obizi, the life and times of the Grandmother, who was aged 87 before her death was eulogized as worth emulation.

The event was attended by the Eze of Obizi, Barrister S.O Azbuine, who is the traditional ruler of the autonomous community while family and friends of the deceased also joined the celebration.

The burial event was also witnessed by dignitaries in the diaspora, who joined virtually staying up through the program on both days in honor of late Edna.
Pharmacist Charles Nzekwe stated that Mama ensured that values which cannot be gotten anywhere were instilled in him, he stressed that he would miss her but takes solace in the legacies she left in her lifetime.

The Eze noted that late Edna lived a good life and contributed immensely to the growth of the Obizi community, according to him, she is loved by all and sundry.

The event witnessed display of culture and colorful activities with top entertainment enjoyed by those who attended the event.

The celebration rounded-off with a thanksgiving service at St Andrews procathedral church on Sunday, October 4.

The diaaporans who joined the event stated that they would miss Mama who they described as a unique person with distinguishing personality.

Apart from the family and relations of Mrs Edna in diaspora, Different persons from around the world also stayed with the live broadcast of the event by EXCEL MAGAZINE INTERNATIONAL which added more glamor and color to the event.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of EXCEL MAGAZINE INTERNATIONAL, Ihiasota Boniface , who was a guest at the event noted that Mrs Edna lived a life worthy of sincere emulation.

He also noted that the EXCEL GLOBAL MEDIA GROUP shares in the moment of grief and at same time celebration for a life well lived.
